Stella McCartney and Angelina Jolie first befriended one another when Jolie invited McCartney’s kids to visit the set of Maleficent, resulting in a fanciful kid’s collection McCartney released in conjunction with the film. Yesterday at the Global Summit to End Sexual Violence in Conflict, the two teamed up yet again, this time to announce a charitable project with the organization War Child UK titled Draw Me To Safety. According to British Vogue, the program will invite children worldwide to make a drawing following the prompt “What makes you feel safe?” McCartney will then design an item of clothing based on the winning drawing, with the profits benefiting the organization. Said Jolie at the summit, “I hope that this campaign will bring their world closer to us all, and that many people will feel inspired to help protect vulnerable children living in conflict zones.”
