three is a trend

We’re seeing green for spring, and it has nothing to do with florals. Along with the ‘70s-inspired pieces that have been dominating the runways this month, military garb is one of the bigger trends. Marc Jacobs kicked it off in New York with an entirely utilitarian vision of surplus drab clothing in a controlled palette (navy, dark brown, olive). In Milan, Gucci featured a number of army-green band jackets buttoned-up service style. And finally, this morning in Paris, the trend was solidified at Sacai, where Chitose Abe nodded to the look with her own contrasting touches: military-style vests and skirts layered over chiffons or patched together with florals. She married the trend to its bohemian counterpart with army jackets detailed with navy-blue lace.
