Could Nina Ricci designer Peter Copping be making a trip across the pond? This morning, WWD reports that the designer is rumored to be taking on a lead role at Oscar de la Renta. Neither Copping nor de la Renta has commented on the speculation. However, it’s not the house’s first time tapping younger talent: John Galliano worked as a designer-in-residence there last year, and both Olivier Theyskens and Prabal Gurung have, at various times, been speculated to be joining the company. We’ve reached out to de la Renta for a comment and will update this when we hear back.
