Zappos Couture has decided not to renew André Leon Talley’s contract, WWD reports today. The former Vogue editor had signed on with the Las Vegas–based e-tailer late last year as artistic director of the site. While features like his blog post calling his beloved Kardashian-West family the “new FF: First Fashion Family” got attention in the press, the rumor is that they did not impact sales. Talley told the paper, “I needed this much-valued freedom to explore new and exciting opportunities, and I am glad to be in talks with an exciting new venture, for my life, which I hope to be able to expand upon very soon.” Please say that venture is a line of dinner caftans.
