In case there was any lingering doubt that everyone cooler than you is now using a flip phone, Rihanna, after a brief dalliance with a pay phone last week, has been spotted chatting on a black T-Mobile cellular device that doesn’t seem likely to have a data plan. In what appears to be a carefully calculated display of technological commentary, RiRi paired her status phone with Dimepiece LA’s “Verbage Sweatpants” and corresponding crop top, adorned with hash tags, a Playboy bunny, and the particularly laden symbolism of a depleted iPhone battery. While we are sure she’s enjoying fantastic battery life, we do hope this lifestyle transition won’t interfere with her recent Instagram resurgence.
