Here’s some surprising news to kick off the week: Designer Ralph Rucci, who’s been a staple of the fashion calendar since founding his label, Chado Ralph Rucci, 20 years ago, is leaving his post, according to Women’s Wear Daily. “We recognize the contribution, vision and talent of Mr. Rucci, and wish him well,” said company CEO Joey Laurenti, who joined the label in May, in a statement. No reason was given for the abrupt departure; however, the paper reports that a new creative director will be named by year’s end, with his or her first collection set to debut for resort 2016. In the meantime, a design team will be at the helm of the label.
