Barack Obama addressed the Grammy audience to call for an end to rape and domestic violence. “Artists have a unique power to change minds and attitudes,” he said, pointing viewers to ItsOnUs.org (home of the White House’s ongoing campaign).
After Obama spoke, domestic-violence survivor and activist Brooke Axtell joined Katy Perry onstage to perform “By the Grace of God.”
Plenty of viewers, though, took to Twitter to point out the obvious: Chris Brown and R. Kelly, Grammy nominees.
