The buried lede in Silvia Killingsworth’s New Yorker post about shopping with celebrated Japanese tidying guru Marie Kondo is that the New York Times best-selling author of The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up is pregnant.
Pregnant!
You know who’s not tidy? A newborn. Diapers, spare pacifiers, outgrown clothes — babies generate SO MUCH STUFF. And they’re terrible at folding.
We look forward, however, to seeing Kondo attempt to share her tidiness evangelism with a new generation.
