We were first alerted to his twee new side-career when Susie Bubble Instagrammed a shot of the rapper hoisting his Super 8 camera while sitting in the front row at Moschino’s Tour de France-meets-baroque Pitti Uomo show last night in Florence. (His seatmate Katy Perry did not look too impressed.) Research reveals that Rocky also brought this ultra-analog prop to the premiere of his movie, Dope, as seen below. Is he making a documentary? Pretending to make a documentary? Just kickin’ it young Spielberg-style? Sort of all of the above, based on what he later told Bubble, writing for Dazed Digital. “I see a lot of cool shit. I just want to start documenting but I’m not ready to put them out yet.” Case closed.
