Olivier Rousteing has been canny about giving us selective doses of the Balmain x H&M collaboration that’s coming in November, presumably to prime the masses for maximum Balmainia. First, he outfitted Kendall Jenner and Jourdan Dunn in looks from the collection at the Billboard Music Awards, concurrent with the announcement. Then, he let slip another sneak peek via French Elle ‘s Twitter. Today, the first official campaign image for the collection is out, and it strongly resembles an ad for Original Flavor Balmain, in part because it was shot by Mario Sorrenti, who typically lenses the brand’s campaigns. The ad stars Balmain Army members Jenner, Dunn, and Gigi Hadid, who appear to be riding a “subway” while showing off Rousteing’s ‘80s-influenced designs and bold jewelry. Be sure to keep those strong-shouldered blazers clear of the closing doors, girls!
