Since his first show in June as Gucci’s creative director, Alessandro Michele has been slowly converting the fashion world to his grandma-chic vision. Gucci’s Cruise 2016 campaign was shot by Glen Luchford in Italy and features new bags with a younger twist. “This advertising campaign is a fresco of a young tribe that reflects my personal idea of jet set,” Michele explained. The short film above centers on his love of ornate details, pussy-bow blouses, and intricately designed accessories such as the Bloom Bag and the classic lace-up shoe.
