Olivier Rousteing promised a “nostalgia artist” would be the musical keynote at tonight’s Balmain for H&M show, but if you thought his aesthetic affection for the ‘80s carried over to the sonic realm, think a little more recent. None other than the Backstreet Boys rocked attendees’ bodies, and everyone — including Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner, who were front row, and even some editors-in-chief, lip-synced along with “Larger Than Life” and “I Want It That Way,” like they were waiting outside TRL. Who knew the fashion crowd contained so many inner teenyboppers?
