Caitlyn Jenner Is a Glamour Woman of the Year

Howdy, y'all
Howdy, y’all

As was predicted by TV show The Doctors (a still-mystifying source of information), Caitlyn Jenner, poster woman for transgender rights in 2015, was named one of Glamour’s Women of the Year. The 25th anniversary of the awards honors Jenner for her determination to be “relentlessly open” and for “finding new meaning in her life.”

The cover of the Women of the Year issue went to Reese Witherspoon, who (as well as being a country-fried southern girl) co-founded a production company called Pacific Standard that produces films with female protagonists. Witherspoon and Jenner are in good company in their nominations as they join Victoria Beckham, Misty Copeland, Elizabeth Holmes, Cecile Richards, the women of the Charleston shooting, and the U.S. women’s national soccer team as honorees. Congrats, women.
