Fashion’s burgeoning love affair with virtual reality remains abloom. To coincide with Demna Gvasalia’s highly anticipated debut show for Balenciaga on Sunday, the house is unveiling a new way to present the collection. Livestreams are, at this point, pretty old hat — but the brand announced today that the fall 2016 show will livestream in 360 degrees. The 360-view will be viewable via tablets and smartphones via a custom app. (The brand is calling the project Panorama.)
And given how voluminous Gvasalia’s designs for Vetements have been, a 360-degree perspective will probably be required for maximum ease of viewing.
