Over the weekend, the First Family made a historic trip to Cuba, departing the plane in ensembles that said, “I did not nap on the flight in these clothes.” Michelle Obama wore a red, white, and blue shift dress by Venezuelan-born designer Carolina Herrera, while Malia wore a mixed floral sundress with trumpet sleeves and Sasha a V-neck black dress with a great ‘90s throwback choker. Oh, and the president wore some type of suit with a navy tie.
Here’s to seeing the other designers Mobama has planned for the trip — perhaps some looks from Cuba designers Isabel Toledo and Narciso Rodriguez? Or maybe even jeans at the First Family’s touristic Cuba outing — an exhibition baseball game between the Tampa Bay Rays and the Cuban national team.
