women love yogurt

This Video About Working Women Is Great If You Pretend It’s Not About Selling Yogurt

On the long grocery list of things women are expected to love, yogurt is king, queen, and court jester. Do women really love yogurt? Are we really eating yogurt more than we’re swiping right on Tinder? If you cut open a woman on an operating table, would she spurt forth a fountain of Fage? A question for the history books that we’d like to temporarily set aside.

Though it is a yogurt brand that is trying to divert this narrative of the perfect yogurt-eating woman — a yogurt brand that, might I add, I do not like—let’s pretend for one second that it’s not. No, professional women don’t all wake up and journal in their writing nooks every morning, nor do they eat pristine well-balanced breakfasts on their marble kitchen islands. In fact, Organic Valley surveyed 1,000 women about their morning routines for their latest TV spot to prove it. According to their findings, 58 percent of women will swear at someone or something before the morning is over and only 16 percent of women describe their mornings as #blessed.

It may be an ad but we’re #blessed that it looks at least slightly more true-to-life than most advertising targeted toward women.
