Ashleigh Banfield, a journalist and host of the CNN show Legal View, dedicated Monday’s episode to the sexual-assault case of Stanford swimmer Brock Allen Turner, who was sentenced to six months in jail after being found guilty of assaulting an unconscious woman behind a dumpster with intent to rape. Banfield spent a significant portion of the show reading the moving letter written by the unnamed victim almost in full.
Hearing the upsetting letter read aloud by a woman makes it all the more powerful.
