Well, if anyone can get Shakespeare right, it’s Meryl Streep. The Academy Award goddess, recent foodstagram star, and Hamilton belter performed at Monday’s annual Shakespeare in the Park Public Theater Gala, where she and Christine Baranski took ol’ Willy to soaring new political heights. Audience members tweeted out videos of the pals performing a duet of “Brush Up Your Shakespeare” from Kiss Me, Kate — Meryl dressed in full Trump — perfectly timed with Hillary’s primary win.
Hitting the political notes every time.
So, can we just let Meryl Streep play Donald Trump in the election? No one has to know.
