The fall 2016 couture shows wrapped in Paris yesterday, and they did not disappoint. Boxy silhouettes walked down Karl Lagerfeld’s design-studio set of a runway for Chanel. Shakespearean-era collars were in abundance at Valentino, while Margiela repurposed moto jackets and coats for dresses. At Dior, the models wore clean and simple gowns, with exaggerated long sleeves.
