Competing in This Tonight Show Game Is No Biggie for the Final Five After Winning Olympic Gold

The Final Five are back in the United States and they’ve been making their rounds on the morning and evening talk shows. And on Tuesday, Simone Biles, Gabby Douglas, Laurie Hernandez, Aly Raisman, and Madison Kocian found themselves competing yet again in front of an audience. Except this time, the stakes were a lot lower for the group. Instead of gymnastics, they were going to play a human, life-size version of Hungry Hungry Hippos on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Fallon invited the girls to the show as players in his version of the game called “Hungry Hungry Humans.” Which is more or less what it sounds like: a human version of the old-school board game featuring chubby, plastic hippos. Fallon partnered with Biles while Raisman and Hernandez formed another pair and Douglas and Kocian rounded out the third team. The group was also joined by Donald Glover, who is set to star in Atlanta on FX in September and musician Black Thought.

It didn’t take long for the competitive side of each of the girls to come out as they used a bucket to try and collect as many plastic balls while their partner grabbed them by the ankles and moved them around the life-size board. Fallon, who was partnered with Biles, came in third and said he was okay that they “bronzed out.”

The rest of the Final Five came in first and second place because — well, of of course they would!
