Bad Gal RiRi is now officially the “Baddest Bitch of the Post-Apocalypse,” per W’s September issue cover. The wine-toting style icon stars in a Steven Klein–lensed portfolio for the magazine, playing a Mad Max–like heroine in a dystopian world and wearing custom pieces by designers including Prada and Gareth Pugh. The shoot also involved two high-profile collaborators. Se7en screenwriter Andrew Kevin Walker “scripted” the photo shoot, which thankfully doesn’t involve any heads in boxes. And art director Terry Jones designed a logo and graphic treatments.
The whole shoot is proof that if a Mad Max scenario ever arises, we definitely want Rihanna in our corner. Click through the slideshow to see selected looks from the spread.
