If there’s one thing that most people in the English-speaking world know, it’s that Taylor Swift writes songs about the men she dates. For example, in 2011, she released “Back to December,” and at the time, critics speculated it was about her ex-boyfriend Taylor Lautner. Today, in a promotional Facebook Live video for the TV show Scream Queens, Lautner confirmed that the song was about him … in an extremely cool and casual way, for sure.

“You dated Taylor Swift, I remember that,” Lautner’s co-star Lea Michele says. “That’s hilarious,” Lautner responds, in a totally chill way. “Didn’t she write a song about you?” Michele asks. “That’s what she does,” Lautner says, while trying to keep his eyes from lighting up. “She writes songs.”
Then Michele tries to determine which song it was. Lautner lets her go on for several minutes, even though he knows the answer: It’s “Back to December.” Michele still doesn’t get it, so finally Lautner says: “It’s called ‘Back to December.’”
Taylor Swift wrote a song about Taylor Lautner, but it was five years ago and he barely remembers, okay? But for the record, it’s called “Back to December.”
