Here are two things you might like in CR Fashion Book’s latest issue: lavish makeup inspired by Marie Antoinette, and Beyoncé’s car-smashing yellow dress. Specifically, Carine Roitfeld and photographer Mario Sorrenti turned to the French queen’s beauty routine, which was full of bizarre extravagance: Marie Antoinette washed her face every morning with pigeon water (one of many ingredients: eight stewed pigeons), slept wearing oil-infused gloves, and bathed while sitting on a pad filled with nuts.
