This season’s runways featured a refreshing smattering of models over 40, including Lauren Hutton in a star turn at Bottega Veneta. Now, that phenomenon promises to impact the spring 2017 campaign season as well. Jonathan Anderson cast Charlotte Rampling, who is 70, alongside model Kiki Willems in a new limited-edition seasonal brand book for Loewe.
The moody images were shot by photographer and regular Anderson collaborator Jamie Hawksworth and styled by Benjamin Bruno. As for the slightly mod setting? That’s the UNESCO headquarters in Paris.
Rampling is, of course, a seasoned model as well as an actress: Her previous hits include pouting for a NARS ad, snuggling with Juergen Teller for a Marc Jacobs campaign, and, of course, those timeless Helmut Newton shots.
