Valentino is teasing all of us with a mystery surrounding its newest bag. The brand has partnered with Janet Mock and director Luke Gilford (known for directing music videos for Troye Sivan and Christina Aguilera) to launch three upcoming videos in conjunction with the release of the second iteration of the VSLING bag.
The VSLING is a square leather bag with brass hardware and Valentino’s signature cherry red interior. Some of the new colors from the resort collection, which were released online this week, include a baby pink, white, and olive green in both smooth and grainy calfskin.
The videos feature Mock as a casting director for Valentino’s VSLING bag campaign, auditioning three archetypes: an Instagram influencer, an iconic actress, and a love-obsessed starlet. Three mystery celebs will be playing the roles ,and their identities will be unveiled on Valentino’s Instagram on July 23, 29, and September 2.
