Francesco Risso’s Marni spring/summer 2020 presentation was perfectly timed to coincide with today’s Youth Climate Strikes — the tropical jungle set pieces were made of recycled and repurposed materials, and dazzling magenta, persimmon, and bright-lime floral prints hammered home the theme. Models walked the runway with their hair slicked back and decorated with flowers and twine, creating a sculptural effect. Clearly the designer was joining the global protests in his own, joyous fashion.
