Just because the leaves are starting to change doesn’t mean you can’t keep wearing floral prints from head to toe, or even coral on your ears. No matter the season, Chloé designer Natacha Ramsay-Levi wants her clothes to feel like a vacation, or at least an escape from digital life. As Cathy Horyn wrote in her review of the fall collection, the brand’s rich earth tones, loose-fitting fall dresses, and tailored separates were “at once easy and romantic … and a little oddball.” The resulting look is modern, with puffer coats and graphic T-shirts, but also evokes the boho, breezy style of another era, one with less of a day-to-day grind.
Ramsay-Levi’s jewelry is perhaps the most precise embodiment of this feeling. She casts dreamcatcher-style necklaces in solid metal, for example, and incorporates natural elements like coral and seashells.
