Many different people smelled like CK One in the ’90s because it was actually made for many different people. It was the first fragrance to be marketed as “unisex” in 1994. Because cultural ideas around gender and language have progressed since then, Calvin Klein is rebooting the franchise as an entire “genderless” collection and celebrating with a pop-up in New York City.
The collection is the brand’s first cross-category launch. It offers your staple basics: denim, T-shirts, hoodies, and underwear — all available in straight and plus sizes. The biggest surprise is that Calvin Klein made a new version of the original CK One fragrance called CK Everyone. It’s fresh, citrusy, and could be worn by everyone, as the name suggests. Like many in fashion, Calvin Klein is trying to be more sustainable. The vegan scent is made with naturally derived ingredients and comes in a box made of post-consumer recycled materials.
