Kristen Stewart’s turn from tremulous, Twilight sweetheart to dirtbag Chanel muse is arguably one of the best transformations in 21st-century film. Stewart landed her breakout role in the Twilight franchise opposite Robert Pattinson in 2008, but it was her post-Twilight years that she really came into herself. At that point, she starred in mostly indie films — Clouds of Sils Maria, Personal Shopper, Still Alice — in which she was a standout. At the same time, she established herself as a fashion icon, and in 2013, Karl Lagerfeld tapped her as the new face of Chanel, a brand she has been representing ever since.
Stewart’s personal life, too, is the stuff of Hollywood legend. Her off-screen romance with Pattinson ended in 2013, and since then, Stewart has been dating what seems to be a series of the planet’s coolest women, among them French singer Soko, model Stella Maxwell, and singer St. Vincent.
