It is understandable if, in the midst of all of the overlapping political, economic, social, and medical crises currently engulfing our country, you have not made time to keep up with the cast of Vanderpump Rules, Bravo’s reality show about the sexy unique servers at Lisa Vanderpump’s Sexy Unique Restaurant (SUR) in Hollywood. If that’s the case, here are some quick updates: Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute were fired in June for trying to get Faith Stowers, a Black cast member, arrested in 2018 for a crime she had nothing to do with; Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval are on Cameo together; and Jax Taylor recently tweeted happy 81st birthday to Lily Tomlin. Also, former SUR hostess and former Jennifer Lawrence adversary Lala Kent and “her man,” Hollywood producer Randall Emmett, are having a baby!

On Wednesday’s episode of the couple’s podcast, Give Them Lala … with Randall, Lala announced the news, saying, “I’m like shaking right now, I can’t believe it’s a real thing.”

“By the way, today is my 30th birthday,” she said. “And for my 30th birthday, I had the best gift given to me … I am pregnant.”

Lala and Randall have been together for a few years, though how and when exactly their relationship began remains a little unclear — for a while, Lala would only refer to him on Vanderpump Rules as “my MAN,” and Randall’s ex-wife has claimed Lala was his “mistress” when they were still together. The couple got engaged in September 2018, and have since weathered a number of storms together, like Randall’s brief but public feud with Fifty Cent, whom he referred to as “Fofty,” and, apparently, a big fight they had in July that led to Lala deleting all the pictures of Randall from her Instagram. (After widespread speculation that they had broken up, Lala clarified that yes, she had deleted her pictures of Randall, but no they hadn’t broken up, she was just mad at him.)

Though they had planned to get married in April, the couple rescheduled their nuptials due to the coronavirus pandemic. In an Instagram post he shared on the original date of their wedding, April 18, Randall said that the couple would be getting married in July instead, but it’s unclear whether any sort of ceremony happened.

In any case, congratulations to Lala, her man, and now her baby. May they all enjoy their baby bottles together, as a family.
