Around this time last year, I was seated in a crowd with of hundreds of other people watching beautiful women dance around in their underwear as part of Rihanna’s groundbreaking, jaw-dropping, unapologetically sexy Savage x Fenty show. Replaying it in my head almost brings a tear to my eye: Rihanna herself wearing a mesh bodysuit, isolating her muscles like the world’s hottest mime; Cara Delevingne wielding a green bedazzled whip, conducting a line of dancers rubbing up against each other; Laverne Cox doing a leg kick so high it makes the “WAP” dance look easy; Normani making everyone drool.
Thankfully, these unprecedented times have not stopped Rihanna from blessing us with another round. On Thursday, Amazon Prime Video announced that the “Savage x Fenty Show Vol. 2” will be available to stream starting October 2. According to a teaser video, Bad Gal has been hard at work in a face mask and face shield lately. And somehow, the lineup is even more impressive than last year. Lizzo, Demi Moore, Paris Hilton, Rico Nasty, Shea Couleé, Willow Smith, Chika, and many others will take the stage wearing Savage x Fenty’s fall 2020 collection. Veterans like Bella Hadid, Delevingne, Normani, and Paloma Elsesser will all return. And the show will feature musical performances from Travis Scott, Bad Bunny, and Rosalia.
