There are two types of gifts in this world: those that you think your friends and loved ones might need, and those that you know they don’t, would probably never buy themselves, but are still nice nonetheless. A designer water bottle definitely falls into the latter category. There are plenty of cheaper ways to stay hydrated, and plenty of people who would prefer a simple S’Well to something covered in Swarovski crystals. No one needs a designer water bottle. But would they like to receive one? If you’re asking me, the answer is a resounding yes. Specifically if the water bottle in question has the letters P-R-A-D-A written across it.
I try to use the word “chic” sparingly (Reynolds Woodcock, please forgive me), but this water bottle is undeniably that. It’s super-sleek, with the proper balance of plain-and-simple functionality, and yeah-I-know-what’s-up pretentiousness. As far as Prada goods go, it’s relatively cheap at $85. But I imagine that drinking out of it (at home, alone, where no one can even see the logo) would make me feel like a million bucks. I’m not a scientist, but the water might even taste better.
