The strange nature of this year’s awards season has not stopped Alan Kim, the 9-year-old breakout star of Best Picture nominee Minari, from living his very best life, and today, he showed up on the Oscars red carpet dressed to the nines.

The actor, escorted by Minari producer Christina Oh, wore head-to-toe custom Thom Browne — the designer his stylist Jeanne Yang seems to have been collaborating with throughout this year’s awards circuit. Most recently, the young star wore a gray wool suit from the designer for the BAFTA Awards, where he was nominated for Best Supporting Actor.

But today, Kim went for a tiny set of shorts paired with a blazer and bow tie, four-bar socks, and a set of shiny little brogues. He debuted the look on Instagram in a photo shoot with his dog, Cream:

And, of course, he also modeled the clothes like someone who knows precisely how suave they look, striking various poses on the red carpet, my favorite of which is the one at the top of this article.

In an E! red-carpet interview with Giuliana Rancic, Kim was asked what he loved most about filming Minari, to which he responded “everything,” before proceeding to tell her about the FitBit and iPad mini he got for his recent birthday. And when asked who he was most excited to see at the awards, he responded with a cheerful, “I’m fine with anybody!” I’m not sure what I love more, this kid’s attitude or his style.
