On Monday, Gold House, a nonprofit collective of Asian and Pacific Islander cultural leaders, released its 2021 A100 List. The annual list celebrates the 100 most impactful AAPI leaders, honoring both “excellence in achievement and eminence in activism,” and this year includes Chloé Zhao, Olivia Rodrigo, Kamala Harris, and H.E.R.

Gold House’s mission is to unify Asians and Pacific Islanders — the world’s largest population group — and to fight for more authentic representation and social equity. “Recognizing the achievements of the AAPI community couldn’t be more timely than right now,” said A100 Icon judge Daniel Dae Kim, alluding to this year’s spike in anti-Asian hate crimes. “The tragic events of the recent past only serve to underscore the need to celebrate the many ways Asian Americans contribute to our country and the world.”

For the first time, Gold House will further honor those whom the collective has recognized more than twice with the A100 Hall of Fame. Inducted honorees include Awkwafina, BTS, Mindy Kaling, and Chrissy Teigen.
