Move over, “Drivers License” guy. It appears Olivia Rodrigo has a new boyfriend now: Adam Faze, whom the paparazzi caught her smooching in Los Angeles over the weekend. In photos obtained by “Page Six,” the couple are seen staring into each other’s eyes and kissing against a parked car. How appropriate. Face touching, hand holding, hugging in public — all the PDA boxes checked. Only … who is he?
Per Elle, Faze is a 24-year-old producer who “notably directed” a music video for none other than Kate Beckinsale’s Crucible ex, Goody Grace. Also! He used to contribute to Forbes. As to how he and Rodrigo met, it was “through industry friends,” according to E! They reportedly attended a Space Jam 2 premiere party together in late June, where Rodrigo introduced Faze to other guests as her boyfriend. Apparently, they have been dating for several months now, and things are “getting serious.” Which, yes: As the “Page Six” pics demonstrate, these two have already reached the “give us a little kiss” phase of their relationship.
Anyway, as to Mr. You-Said-Forever-Now-I-Drive-Alone-Down-Your-Street: Many people believe Rodrigo’s hit single was inspired by her High School Musical: The Musical: The Series co-star Joshua Bassett — a theory she has neither confirmed nor explicitly denied. (“That’s really the least important part of the song,” she previously explained.) Still, fans suspect Bassett and Rodrigo were dating last year before Bassett allegedly bailed for fellow Disney personality Sabrina Carpenter. Rodrigo says she doesn’t “know her at all,” and Bassett isn’t directly commenting either, so I have no idea what the truth of that situation is. Regardless, w/r/t this new guy: Good 4 her!
