On Wednesday, it was announced that South Korean actress HoYeon Jung, who plays Kang Sae-byeok, or player number 067, on Netflix’s hit show Squid Game, has traded in her green tracksuit for something a little more luxurious. She is now a global ambassador for Louis Vuitton, and posed for the brand wearing a crisp, clean white coat — sans blood splatters.
It will not come as a surprise that Jung, whose wispy bangs and pouty lips are making millions of viewers swoon, started her career as a model, winning the “Asian Star Award” at the Asian Model Awards in 2019. She was also the runner-up on season four of Korea’s Next Top Model, and walked for Louis Vuitton’s spring show back in 2017.
“I immediately fell in love with HoYeon’s great talent and fantastic personality, and I am looking forward to starting this new chapter of the journey we started at Louis Vuitton a few years ago,” said Nicolas Ghesquière, the brand’s artistic director in a statement.
