On Sunday, Virgil Abloh, who rose from American streetwear savant to become, in 2018, the artistic director of menswear for Louis Vuitton and guru to millions with his own label, Off-White, died.
At the time of his death, Vuitton was planning a men’s runway show in Miami to take place today, one of a series of nomadic, one-off shows, as part of the Art Basel fair, which will proceed as planned. (Michael Burke, chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton, said in a statement on Monday that the show would continue, “per Virgil’s wishes,” as a celebration of his legacy.)
Watch the show live from Miami.
