A little over a year after deleting her Instagram account, Pamela Anderson returned to announce a new project: a tell-all documentary. On Wednesday, Anderson posted a photo of a poem (?) handwritten on paper with Netflix letterhead:

tell the real story.
Netflix confirmed the project, tweeting that Anderson will be “setting the record straight as she looks back on her professional path and her personal journey.” The yet-to-be-named documentary will feature exclusive interviews with Anderson as well as excerpts from her personal journals. A release date has not yet been announced.
Anderson’s children, Brandon Thomas Lee and Dylan Jagger Lee, reposted her announcement to their Instagram stories, both emphasizing the phrase “the real story.” Per Variety, Brandon is a producer on the project, and Ryan White, who helmed the Netflix’s docuseries The Keepers, is its director.
The announcement comes less than a week before the final episode of Hulu’s Pam & Tommy, a miniseries about the scandal surrounding Anderson’s sex tape with ex-husband Tommy Lee, which was stolen and leaked to the public without their consent. While those involved in the series say they “tried to do right by” Anderson, she has maintained she had zero involvement with the show. Some reports claim she felt “violated” by the series and hasn’t watched even the trailer. Lee, on the other hand, publicly gave his blessing to Pam & Tommy before it was even released. In a since-deleted Facebook post, musician Courtney Love, a close friend of Anderson’s, called out Pam & Tommy for adding “complex trauma” to an already traumatic experience. She further criticized series by saying the sex tape “destroyed my friend Pamela’s life.” Love said she did not approve the use of her likeness in the show.
Those involved in the Hulu miniseries have not commented on Anderson’s new project with Netflix.
