North West Was Not Kidding About That Goth Phase

North West, the eldest daughter of Ye and Kim Kardashian, has been quietly stewing in her goth soup for some time now. Over the years, we’ve gotten samplings of the swirling mass of darkness in this 9-year-old’s brain: a little demonic art here, some face tattoos there. But this week, while attending Paris Fashion Week with Kim, North is truly letting her goth flag fly. Man, do these outfits go hard.

Even though they encased her in a beige prison, North’s parents appear amenable to letting the child express her dark side, namely by funding it with Balenciaga clothing. The result is a transcendent mix of oversize jackets, studded stomper Crocs, tiny handbags, and a matching-nose-ring situation that I personally believe Kim was coerced into by her daughter. Behold, the only person in the world who can make Kim Kardashian look like backup:

Though North seems to be having the time of her life getting dressed, she remains thoroughly unimpressed with some of the less-pleasant aspects of Paris Fashion Week, like being swarmed by paparazzi or talking to Anna Wintour (fair).
