Bennifer wasn’t the only celebrity couple to throw a wedding this weekend. On Saturday, actor Sarah Hyland married her longtime partner, Wells Adams, at a winery in California, People reports.
Hyland, 31, best known for playing Haley Dunphy on Modern Family, and Adams, 38 — a Bachelor franchise staple since appearing as a contestant on season 12 of The Bachelorette — first sparked dating rumors after publicly flirting on Twitter in 2016, with Hyland vocalizing her crush on Adams as the season aired. After meeting on social media, they went public with their relationship in 2017 and got engaged two years later. Per People, the couple originally planned to get married in 2020, but repeatedly delayed their wedding because of COVID concerns. Last summer, Adams announced that the couple would “replan” their nuptial festivities, telling People Hyland “got robbed of all that kind of fun stuff you get to do as a new bride” and that they would “try to hit reset and do it all again.”
Saturday’s ceremony was reportedly attended by several of Hyland’s Modern Family co-stars, including Sofia Vergara, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Ariel Winter, and Nolan Gould. The actor, who is currently hosting Love Island USA, told People last month that she was “really excited to be able to — on paper — officially start our family.” Congratulations to this couple on (a) finally tying the knot and (b) not doing it on an imitation plantation (ahem, Bennifer?).
