Pete Davidson and Emily Ratajkowski had a very New York Thanksgiving weekend. Two days after Selby Drummond, Bumble’s chief brand officer, shared an Instagram photo (that has since been deleted) of Davidson and Ratajkowski at her Friendsgiving, the couple made their first very public appearance, sitting courtside at a Knicks game in Madison Square Garden on Sunday night.
The two haven’t publicly confirmed whether they are dating, but they definitely appear happy to be in each other’s presence. Rumors first started earlier this month when DeuxMoi posted an anonymous tip from someone claiming they saw “Emrata and Pete Davidson on a date in Brooklyn together.” The anonymous tipster also claimed the two were “holding hands” and “clearly hooking up.” The rumors reached a new level of plausibility when Us Weekly ran its own story on the supposed couple.
The magazine quoted an insider who claimed, “Pete and Emily have been talking for a couple months now.” The insider said the two were “in very early stages, but both really like each other.” Both Davidson and Ratajkowski (a.k.a. “EmRata”) recently went through very public breakups — Davidson from Kim Kardashian and Ratajkowski from her husband, Sebastian Bear-McClard — and were apparently set up by mutual friends. “Pete makes Emily laugh and he loves how intelligent she is,” the source told Us Weekly.
The following week, we got verified footage of Davidson making Ratajkowski laugh via the major new-couple milestone of their very first invasive paparazzi photos. They appear to have dressed in matching outfits (gray sweatpants, of course) to celebrate his 29th birthday in New York, where photographers followed Ratajkowski to meet up with him at a residential building in Brooklyn. There, in a poorly lit hallway, they shared a flirty-looking hug. It’s no roller-coaster shot, but I will accept it as further evidence these two are spending time together.
Meanwhile, Entertainment Tonight reported that the two were enjoying a casual relationship. “Emily is doing well and getting more adjusted to her life as a single mom since her divorce,” a source told the outlet. “She is dating and having fun with it.”
