Don’t Come for Ashley Graham

Earlier this week, self-described “anti-woke journalist” Sameera Khan, in a since-deleted (of course) tweet, posted photos of supermodel Ashley Graham wearing a strappy gold minidress and commented, “The fat positivity movement is getting out of hand.” Embarrassing.

Graham took the high road and cheekily acknowledged Kahn’s tweet by sharing another photo of herself in the dress. This time, she’s winking at the camera, and her caption? “Quote tweet this with a photo of you taking ‘fat positivity’ too far. I’ll start.”

The tweet received more than 4,000 responses, many from women sharing photos of themselves in sexy dresses, lingerie, swimsuits, and other outfits they said make them feel good about themselves in a world that constantly critiques people who are not thin. Some men even got in on the trend.

Her fans couldn’t get enough of it. In the post’s comments, words such as iconic, stunning, and beautiful (I could go on) were thrown around quite a bit. I couldn’t agree more.

As for Kahn, she hasn’t appeared to respond just yet, which is a good thing.
