The market for feet pics is largely unregulated, but a recent photo of Chris Pratt’s toe makes me wonder if we should be laying down some ground rules. On Wednesday, Pratt shared a close-up of what appears to be his pinky toe with the caption “Met Gala Look.” (Pratt was not at the Met Gala, though his toes might have looked nicer if he was.) You’ve been warned:
To be clear, there’s nothing wrong with having ugly feet. Mine are in a perpetual state of peeling, no matter how many foot masks I try. Knowing this, though, I would not go posting unsolicited photos of my toes (at least not without a substantial fee). Also, I am not convinced Pratt knows how to clip his toenails, based on this picture and the fact that his wife has done it for him on at least two occasions.
Judging from the comments section, many people had a similar reaction — including Pratt’s mother-in-law, Maria Shriver, who asked in the comments section, “What is this?” Great question. Undeterred, Pratt reportedly posted even more photos of his toe, this time to his Instagram Stories, photoshopping it onto pictures of actual Met Gala guests, including Doja Cat, Rihanna, Dua Lipa, and Jared Leto, while making toe-related puns out of each of their names. Why he had to drag Miss Fenty into this I do not know, but I am begging him to cease and desist. There is enough confusing imagery out there without “Toeja Cat” in the mix.
