The Prime Day Deals Are Upon Us

Sadly, Kendall’s exact pair of cans don’t appear to be on sale, but we found an alternative. Photo: HBO

More so than Valentine’s Day (sorry), Prime Day remains the king of corporate holidays. It’s Amazon Prime’s huge warehouse sale that now officially takes up two days on July 11 and 12 — though there are lingering Fourth of July sales spinning on things like TVs and Kindles for those itching to spend. But those deals the deals just serve as a walk-up to Prime Day proper. Proceeds will help fund the Lord of the Rings obsession of Jeffrey, Jeffrey Bezos. So to help you spend wisely, here’s our (frequently updated) list of Prime Day go-tos.

These are just a few of the best entertainment, tech, and, yes, karaoke deals available on Amazon right now. As the deals roll in, expect to see more added to this space.

For Movie and TV Buffs …

Can’t go wrong with a 4K version of Indy’s greatest adventure. (Apologies to The Dial of Destiny.)

Thelma & Louise
$20
$20

Ridley Scott’s classic is available through the Criterion — which has a ton of sales on its DVDs and Blu-rays.

➽ If you prefer to stream, Prime Day’s a good time to sign up: The sale has half-off subscriptions to Max, Paramount+, and AMC+ (for two months), while subs for MGM+, Starz, Cinemax, and more are 99 cents a pop.

The perfect home accessory for babes Baby Yoda fans everywhere.

$54

Just in time for Justified: City Primeval, the original series following everyone’s favorite smoldering U.S. Marshal is on sale at a huge markdown.

In this economy — any economy! — televisions are too expensive, so you might as well get one while they’re discounted.

➽ But if you’re only looking to juice up your current TV for cheap, Fire Sticks are your next best thing.

For anyone nostalgic for the warm embrace of Pawnee, Indiana.

Spider guys are hot right now, so naturally the Tom Holland and Tobey Maguire–led trilogies are on sale (in sets and individual 4K editions as well), as is Shameik Moore’s Miles Morales’s Into the Spider-Verse film. Sadly, no Peter-3 (sorry, Andrew).

âž½ Did we mention the Everything Everywhere All at Once DVD is also on sale?

For Music Fans …

Bluetooth Karaoke Machine
$25
$25

Does one even need to explain the quality-of-life boost that having a karaoke machine gives to someone?

Sony Belt-Drive Turntable
$178
$178

A beautiful accessory for all the vinyl records on your shelf collecting dust. (We say that with love.)

Huge eldest-boy vibes. You can Sad Kendall walk — the opposite of a Hot Girl walk — to get your iced coffee while listening to “L to the OG†in these bad boys.

For Book Readers (or Listeners) …

The Dune 2 trailer recently dropped, so you know what that means: It’s finally time to finish reading Dune ASAP, especially since you only made it through two chapters before the first film premiered.

From $15

Audiobooks are for the earth signs who can never sit down for more than ten seconds. If you need some extra spice in your reading ritual, Audible is giving out three months free, so snatch that up quickly. You’ve got all of Dune to read, remember?

From Daredevil, to Batman: Year One, to Sin City, comics writer Frank Miller is prolific, so if you’re a fan, we suggest checking out this sleek collector’s set of Sin City (the source material for Robert Rodriguez’s flick).

For Fun …

$98

Sure, we’re in our Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) era, but we might as well brace ourselves for 1989 (Taylor’s Version) too with some instant cameras — because they never go out of style.

And for Anyone Who’s Seen The Idol …
