Earlier this month, according to “Page Six,” Madonna was found unresponsive, then rushed into the intensive-care unit of a New York hospital. Per the publication, she was intubated for at least one night — with her daughter Lourdes by her side. The good news: Madonna has already begun to recover.

Madonna’s manager, Guy Oseary, provided more detail in an Instagram post on June 28, revealing that she had “developed a serious bacterial infection which lead [sic] to a several day stay in the ICU.” Oseary added that “her health is improving, however she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected.” People also reported that the singer was “back home and feeling better.”

Two weeks later, Madonna updated her Instagram followers about the ordeal, saying she’s “on the road to recovery” after being hospitalized. She confirmed that she’ll be postponing her Celebration tour, an international retrospective concert series that was originally supposed to kick off in Vancouver on July 15.

“I did not want to disappoint anyone who bought tickets for my tour,” she wrote, adding that she “didn’t want to let down the people who worked tirelessly with me over the last few months to create my show.” She now plans to kick off the tour with the originally scheduled European leg, which opens in October, and will reschedule the North American shows.

Meanwhile, Madge was seen out and about in New York. Here’s to a speedy recovery!
