With NYFW coming to a close and the VMAs, it’s been a busy week of events, parties, and after-parties. We even had a party of our own, ICYMI. This week the stars were doing karaoke with the #Gannigirls, roller-skating with Adidas, partying with Lanvin, and more. Here are our favorite looks.
Best Group Photo: Candice Sabiduria, Irene Luna, Alicia Olivas
Nike Women teamed up with Brooklyn-based community collective To Many More to host a neighborhood block party featuring local vendors, a live DJ, and a presentation of its holiday 2023 collection. Amid the chaos of NYFW, the community feel and casual vibes were truly immaculate. Nike also supported four of the most buzzed-about BIPOC womenswear designers this season — Elena Velez, Sami Miró of Sami Miro Vintage, Kim Shui, and Raul Lopez of Luar — by sponsoring their shows and providing footwear for the runway.
Most Artful Look: Hanya Yanagihara
The Noguchi Museum honored Chicago-based artist Theaster Gates, contemporary English artist Edmund de Waal, and T magazine editor-in-chief and author Hanya Yanagihara, shown here. The event was followed by a beautiful dinner by BITE with floral design on the tables by Eriko Nagata. Doesn’t get chicer.
Best Pose: Tommy Hilfiger and SZA
To celebrate the Tommy Hilfiger campaign launch, SZA joined the brand at Maxwell Tribeca for NYFW brunch which included music by DJ Jadaboo, signature cocktails, and, of course, food by DeVonn Francis.
Best Pants: Katie Holmes
Katie Holmes joined Chanel and W magazine in celebrating Sofia Coppola’s archive in some really wide-leg pants.
Most Effortless Fit: Grece Ghanem
Now if you see us re-creating this entire look this weekend, don’t say anything. The sunglasses? The T-shirt? The fuzzy flip-flops? The street-style star nailed the effortless look at Net-A-Porter’s NYFW cocktail party held at Raf’s this week.
Best Use of Color: Future
The rapper and Lanvin collaborator takes purple very seriously at a preview for his upcoming Lanvin Lab collection.
Best Hair: Saweetie
Saweetie knows the key to dressing up a casual outfit is a little glam, so of course she went all out on hair and makeup at Flipper’s Roller Boogie Palace x Adidas NYFW party.
Best Pair: Paloma Elsesser & Haider Ackermann
We’d like for everyone at cult-favorite skin-care brand Augustinus Bader’s dinner to drop their skin-care routine. To celebrate the brand’s collab with Haider Ackermann, they held an intimate dinner at Salon 94; rumored couple Kymothée was in attendance.
Best Dress: Beverly Nguyen
Stylist Beverly Nguyen does sequins the right way at a party celebrating Peter Do’s Helmut Lang collection.
Best Acccessories: Hannah Traore
Cowrie shells are the perfect way to accessorize your braids and add some contrast to an all-black look as demonstrated here by Traore at Theory’s fall dinner at the New Museum.
Best Duo: Patrick Ta & Jenna Lyons
We’re dying to know what they talked about at Noble Panacea’s launch dinner at Electric Lemon. Do you think they traded glasses recommendations?
Best Boots: Kim Nguyen
To fête her collab with Ganni, the Nguyen, Inc, designer paired her skirt from the collab with towering Marc Jacobs boots for a night of karaoke, pastries, and cocktails.
Best Use of Prints: Noor Elkhaldi
Elkhaldi added a little edge to this Maccapani with a pair of heavy-duty boots at the brand’s dinner with Nordstrom to celebrate the exclusive U.S. launch.
Best Cutouts: Flo Milli
What’s a party-pics roundup without a Cut party and some cutouts? Here’s both courtesy of Flo Milli.
Best Performance: Ice Spice
One of the many perks of a good New York Fashion Week party is a live performance, and Dion Lee’s after-party guests at the Boom Boom Room enjoyed a couple of songs from Ice Spice.
Best Candid Photo: Scot Louie
Louie kicked off Cocktails + Conversations with Boohoo at the Blond this week with many well-dressed guests.
