It was a big week of movie premieres and celebrations. The Gotham Awards took over Manhattan, the premiere of Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé landed in London, and Chanel celebrated a decade of supporting film at MoMA. See all the looks from celebrities like Janelle Monáe, Dua Lipa, Anne Hathaway, Natalie Portman, and more in their red-carpet-worthy looks below.

As part of Chanel’s role as the lead sponsor for film at MoMA, the brand’s annual Contenders series is back, highlighting some of the best films of the year. Programming kicked off with a special screening of Barbie followed by a conversation with Dua Lipa and songwriters Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt, who composed the movie’s soundtrack.

Of course, the red carpet at the London premiere of Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé was out of this world. As someone who always turns out a look, it’s no surprise Monáe had a perfect polka-dotted dress, mixing playfulness with high fashion.

Best Taste: Anne Hathaway

Hathaway scores the best taste for two reasons. First, her Chanel outfit and Christian Louboutin shoes. And second, because fans unveiled that she was listening to Lana Del Rey while walking around in this absolute fit.

Hottest Trio: Julianne Moore, Charles Melton, and Natalie Portman

Julianne Moore, Charles Melton, and Natalie Portman promoted their film May December this week in New York, sporting great looks every chance they got. If you haven’t already seen it, turn on Netflix immediately and watch this talented (and attractive) trio work their magic.

Best Coat: Beverly Nguyen

Wear a good coat and nothing else will matter. Need proof? Just look at Nguyen’s beautiful black fur coat, which she wore at a Louise Roe cocktail event.

Best Duo: 2Tone and Wiz Khalifa

2Tone and Wiz Khalifa look cool and at ease in their dark outfits at the Born X Raised Sadie Hawkins winter formal, hosted by Dr. Martens, in Los Angeles. I especially love the metallic shine of Khalifa’s look.

Best Stripes: Storm Reid

Stripes never go out of style, which Storm Reid proved during the 37th Annual Footwear News Achievement Awards in New York.

Best LBD: Myha’la Herrold

A little black dress adorned with a velvet bow and matching bow heels? Yes and yes, a perfect combo at the U.K. screening of Leave the World Behind.

Best Floral: Lourdes Leon

Lourdes Leon shows off her spin on darker florals after taking the stage at the Dr. Martens and GANNI celebration of their new collaboration.

Best Sparkles: Cynthia Erivo

Before performing at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater Opening Night Gala, Erivo walked the red carpet in a glittery black skirt, a short- sleeve black turtleneck, and a set of pearls.

Most Balletcore: Isabella Boylston and Courtney Lavine

It’s no surprise that Isabella Boylston and Courtney Lavine — both of whom are ballerinas — would know how to pull off balletcore, but we love the details on these dresses as the two dine together at the launch of the Fleur du Mal X Isabella Boylston Collab.

Best Trio: Taraji P. Henson, Fantasia Barrino, and Danielle Brooks

Ahead of their new film The Color Purple hitting the theatersthe three stars all wore wonderful long-sleeve dresses during their SAG-AFTRA Foundation Conversation in New York.

Best Texture: Hannah Traore

Suede on suede (with a pop of red) proved a valuable combo at the Studio Museum in Harlem Brand Launch Party.
