It’s been a big week for red carpets and an even bigger week for all the lovers of musicals out there. Mean Girls had its world premiere in New York, and a few blocks over, Ariana Madix was making her Broadway debut in Chicago. Plus, we have very good looks from Barry Keoghan, Natasha Lyonne, and Chloë Sevigny. See all the bestest party pics below.
Best Duo: Reneé Rapp and Megan Thee Stallion
I’m sorry, but Reneé Rapp and Megan Thee Stallion were absolutely the standouts at the premiere of Mean Girls. Rapp paired a lovely pink corset with a great skirt, and Megan looks amazing in this sheer purple gown. It’s not their fault (they look so good)!
Best Cropped Vest: Barry Keoghan
Barry Keoghan may be able to act his pants off, but he doesn’t always show up to carpets in the best fits. His look for the premiere of Masters of the Air really works, though, and he looks great in this sleek white vest.
Best Leopard: Michelle Yeoh
Leopard print is a neutral and therefore always right. For the premiere of The Brothers Sun, Yeoh showed off her sense of style in this long Balenciaga belted trench.
Best Blazer As a Dress: Ariana Madix
It wasn’t the first time a Bravo celeb took on the role of Roxie Hart in Chicago, but it might have been the first time someone looked so good doing it. We love the sheer tights under an oversize blazer.
Most Overall Chic: Chloë Sevigny and Natasha Lyonne
Even though these two were in L.A. for Netflix’s 2024 Golden Globes after-party, this iconic duo will never not scream New York. And look fabulous doing so.
Best Texture: Kerry Condon
Kerry Condon proved that horror-movie premieres — this one for Universal Pictures’ Night Swim — don’t mean you have to bring horror to the red carpet. Instead, she played with texture in this strapless midi dress by Louis Vuitton.
Coolest DJ: Lumia Nocito
Chances are a DJ who looks the part (a.k.a. cool) will play the coolest music. If this brown leather jacket says anything, it’s that Lumia Nocito has taste, which she displayed at a Dry January celebration with The Standard, East Village and Kin Euphorics.
Best Green: Simon Kim and Reilly Opelka
Guests like restaurateur Simon Kim and tennis player Reilly Opelka joined in celebrating the grand opening of COQODAQ, a new, innovative fried-chicken restaurant. With a surprise performance from Busta Rhymes and sleek looks like Opelka’s multitone green button-down, it was not a night to miss.
Best Shoes: Samira Ahmed and Hailey Sani
Even though we’ve gotten only a little taste of New York snow so far, it’s important to be prepared and look the part, something Samira Ahmed and Hailey Sani displayed at Timberland’s Indigo Suede Icons launch event.
