Reframing the Future, a photographic print sale, is working with top emerging and professional photographers and graphic designers to fundraise for National Bail Out and the Marsha P. Johnson Institute. Reframing the Future was founded by a group of creative colleagues united by a common goal of becoming stronger allies to communities of color. In a press release they said, “We believe confronting white supremacy cannot be achieved without a commitment to honesty, accountability, and direct action.”
Among the 70-plus artists contributing are Adrienne Raquel, Heather Hazzan, June Canedo de Souza, Kyle Weeks, Lia Clay Miller, and Sabrina Santiago, to name a few. All proceeds from purchased prints will be donated to support Black communities in response to systemic racism and police brutality. The fundraising initiative is taking action “to divest from our current system of police brutality and mass incarceration under the guise of public safety while investing in long-term community building and organizing within the Black community.”
