After weeks of speculation, Jessica Alba has confirmed her split with longtime husband Cash Warren with a statement posted on Instagram. “I’ve been on a journey of self realization and transformation for years — both as an individual and in partnership with Cash,” the actress and Honest Company founder wrote. “I’m proud of how we’ve grown as a couple and in our marriage over the last 20 years and it’s now time for us to embark on a new chapter of growth and evolution as individuals.”
The couple were married in 2008 after meeting on the set of Fantastic Four, and they share three children: Honor, 16; Haven, 13; and Hayes, 7. Alba was first spotted without her wedding ring at dinner in Rome in early December, according to the Daily Mail. While Warren hasn’t said anything about the breakup publicly, he spoke to Us Weekly about his relationship with Alba last July. “I think, ultimately, the friendship and support and just knowing that your partner has your back means everything to us,” he said. “It’s hard work, but we roll up our sleeves and we do it. It’s wild. It’s the longest relationship I could have ever imagined.”
Wishing them both the best on their “journeys of self-realization.”
